Province offers Royal Bank up to $22M to open financial services centre in Halifax

On Wednesday, RBC and Nova Scotia Business Inc. announced the bank will open a new "finance-shared services centre" in April to support digital image cheque processing operations and other finance and accounting services at 50 Innovation Dr., as part of a $22 million incentive agreement with the province. RBC will immediately begin recruiting for the 150 new positions to be filled before the end of the year, according to Roger Howard, regional president of the Atlantic Provinces for the financial institution.
