Public parks approved for Berkeley County

A special tax will be levied on the planned Nexton community to develop public parks and a 50-mile trail system. Berkeley County Council approved the third and final reading for creation of the Nexton Improvement District that will fund the system at the private development near Interstate 26 and 17-A.
