This is a permanent position, calling for an Engineering Consultant with a university degree and education in Quality Assurance as well as at least 5 years experience in Quality Assurance roles utilising the attributes listed below. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in August 2015 or soon after. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The consultant will join the Technical and Scientific Support division of the client and be responsible for QA for the divisions processes Process Assurance and the products delivered by the division Product Assurance. The following attributes are essential for this position Good knowledge of the ISO 9000 series Experience of working in an environment where an ISO 9001 certified management system is established and maintained Knowledge of the management, engineering and quality assurance activities performed for a project, as typically defined in a formal project management methodology. Experience of documenting work activities in the form of process definitions, procedures and working practices, plus good userviewpoint writing skills Experience of Quality Assurance auditing process assessment Skilled in proficiently using Microsoft Office tools suite. Some of the following will be considered an advantage Knowledge of Quality Management Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines Possession of an auditing qualification Knowledge of IT service management service related processes Experience of working in an operational systems environment Experience in IT andor softwareintensive engineering projects Knowledge of the ECSS standards. The main working language is English and candidates must be fluent in both reading and writing but knowledge of French also would be advantageous.
