WASHINGTON, D.C.—Aug. 5, 2013 —The Semiconductor Industry Association , representing U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing and design, today announced that worldwide sales of semiconductors reached $74.65 billion during the second quarter of 2013, an increase of 6 percent from the first quarter when sales were $70.45 billion.
