RF Engineer for AIT EGSE System Deadline for applications ASAP Job Description For our client we are looking for a RF Engineer for AIT EGSE System for their location in Bremen, Germany. During the construction and test phase of a satellite the AIT department Assembly, Integration Test holds one of the major roles. The electrical ground test system EGSE Electrical Ground Support Equipment ensures the energy supply during the construction and test phase of a satellite and offers support by processing measurement data and telemetry, sending telecommunication commands as well as by developing and validating flight procedures. Tasks and Responsibilities Specification, Design and Analysis of RF testsystems RFSCOE Acting as technical manager for planning, initiating and supervising the procurement process of RF test systems from selected suppliers Leading role for design review, acceptance test and delivery review of subcontracted RF testsystems Providing specialist support in terms of RF testing and verification for communication subsystems TTC subsystem, highdatarate downlink subsystem and telecommunication payloads Responsible for planning and preparation of automatic tests and performing tests of communication subsystems integrated on the satellite Preparation of test procedures and providing the respective test results. Requirements Engineering degree in or Telecommunications Engineering or RF microwave Several years of professional experience with background in radio communication, telecommunication systems and electronics Experience with test and measurement equipment as spectrum analyzer, vector analyzer, Demodulator and BERTester Experience with development of automatic test equipment and test routines for RF testing Wide knowledge of radio communication building blocks as modulators, demodulators, LNA, high power amplifiers, filters and antennas CC or TCL programming experience Knowledge of satellite communications technology and related protocols for data link layer, physical link layer and baseband functions is an asset Knowledge of the space program roles and standards e.g. ECSS is an asset High motivation and proactive involvement Excellent conceptual and problem solving skills Welldeveloped communication and negotiation skills Accustomed to work in international composited teams Experience in dealing with customers and vendors would be an advantage Fluency in spoken and written English Fluency in spoken and written German is a plus.
