The recycled polyester market is confronted with a major crisis in China, after bottle flake prices have been far from following the fall in PTA and MEG prices in the first quarter, resulting in a loss at re-PSF and Re-POY plants. Our report covers the recycled polyester PSF and POY prices in China over the past three years. Re-PSF and Re-POY prices are compared with similar virgin fiber prices for PSF and POY prices. Weekly prices, as well as indices over 3-month and 4-year periods, are available for download.
