From January through April, beef exports were 9% less than the previous year in total volume but were 4% ahead of last years record pace in terms of value at $2.12 billion. Philip Seng, President and CEO of the U.S. Meat Export Federation cautions that the strong dollar leaves the U.S. industry in a vulnerable position when competitors gain tariff advantages in key markets. read more
