Repco-Covs Parts tie-up rejected

The consumer watchdog has rejected Repco's $45 million bid to takeover Automotive Holdings Group's Covs Parts business, citing a "substantial lessening of competition". In a statement this morning, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission chairman Rod Sims rejected the proposed tie-up between the two parts businesses - the two biggest sellers in WA - after receiving negative feedback from the local market.
