Report: Dow Chemical in talks to buy out Corning's stake in Dow Corning

During his address to shareholders Thursday, Oct. 22, Andrew N. Liveris, chairman and CEO of the Dow Chemical Co., said the Midland-based chemical giant is in talks with Corning Inc. to buy its stake in Dow Corning, according to a Bloomberg report . Dow Corning, headquartered in Bay County's Williams Township, is a 72-year silicones joint venture of Dow Chemical and Corning Inc. It's a global leader in silicone-based technology and innovation.
