Reports: India to raise solar power goal to 15GW by 2019

BusinessGreen: India looks set to raise its solar power target to 16GW by 2019, a fivefold increase on current capacity, as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plans to step-up green energy deployment. The government plans to support 15GW of installations over the next five years, up from its current plan for 3.6GW by 2017, New Delhi-based advisory Bridge to India Energy said in a note to clients. The move would see plans to auction 1,500MW of solar projects by April scrapped in favour of a more ambitious programme...
