Republic looks to collect Lorain garbage contract

LORAIN - A proposed new refuse contract looks hard to refuse. The five -year pact with Republic Services Inc., would save customers about $45 per household annually in each of the first two years of the contract, Mayor Chase Ritenauer told members of the City Council's Streets and Utilities Committee at their Monday meeting.
