This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Requirements and Verification Engineer 1613137 Job Description We are looking for a Requirements and Verification Engineer for our client EUMETSAT. You will interact with the business users to understand their underlying needs and formulate and document them as user requirements whenever customers raise needs for new IT systems or enhancements to existing ones. It is foreseen, that the key tasks will include as a minimum Collaborate with business users to understand their processes, suggest process improvements where possible and extract and define end user requirements Cooperate with the Information Management IM team in the Process Assurance and Management Support Division PRS, in particular when processes are assessed and addressed Document resulting processes, in cooperation with the PRS IM team, and user requirements in suitable formats Support the implementation team in defining the related technical requirements Facilitate business user interactions during implementation projects to ensure the solutions meet their needs Initiate and facilitate the user acceptance and roll out phases of systems and subsequent pilot phases including chairing Test Readiness Review and Test Review Boards In a matrix arrangement, perform verification activities, including Plan and specify test approach and test cases, including production of all necessary documentation Implement test plans, including performing system test, execution of test scripts, as well as configure, run and execute performance tests Review technical documentation from verification and validation point of view, especially System Requirements Specifications In addition, you will Contribute to project planning and reporting Contribute to the knowledge build up inside the team in requirements engineering Support the improvement and documentation of business processes inside ICT Document tasks and deliverables according to EUMETSAT working practices Required Skills and Experience As a minimum you should have Extensive experience in eliciting user requirements, analysing business processes and developevolve business processes in collaboration with business users Extensive experience in documenting user requirements in suitable formats, e.g process diagrams, use cases, wire frames and functional and nonfunctional requirements specifications Extensive experience of systems based on Oracle WebCenter and BPELSOA from at least one of the following areas development and implementation, verification, operations, maintenance and support Experience in supporting acceptance and roll out activities for IT systems Experience in verification of COTS and bespoke software, including web based applications and preparing the related test specifications and test reports Good understanding of Information Management concepts and in particular document management principles and the related requirements Highly self motivated with a high level of autonomy in working arrangements and the ability to apply initiative and creativity in the execution of tasks Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to learn, able to work as part of a team and displaying a strong customeroriented approach to interact with EUMETSAT personnel Desirable Skills and Experience A university degree in a relevant discipline or similar level of knowledge acquired via work experience Experience in configuring and using automated testing tools, including automated performance testing tools Knowledge of Selenium, JMeter, JConsole Experience of PRINCE2 and ITIL in a structured, ISO 9001 certified environment.
