Rescuers unable to save dog on ice covered river in New York

Despite a valiant attempt to rescue a dog who ran onto the ice covering the Mohawk River in New York, the dog was not saved, reported Wednesday's Time-Warner Cable News. The dog, described as a seven-year-old husky, escaped from his owner on Wednesday afternoon and bolted onto the ice.
