Rising consumer confidence produces rise in new car purchases by private buyers in Scotland

THE Scottish motor trade believe consumer confidence is returning after it emerged the number of private buyers of new cars has risen by 12.7 per cent with 5,848 vehicles registered in February. It means that 64 per cent of new car sales in is now attributed to ordinary consumers - the highest it has been for many years.
