Robert Mondavi is the most famous winemaker from Napa Valley, founding his namesake winery in 1966 with the goal of creating Napa Valley wines that are outstanding even compared to the world's finest wines. Along with his world famous Cabernet Sauvignon and Fume Blanc, he also was well known for his Carneros Pinot Noir and Chardonnay .
