We are currently looking for a Rosetta Archive Scientist to support our customer in Spain. Rosetta Archive Scientist Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Rosetta Science Operations team at ESAESAC, you will have the following responsibilities Ensure that Rosetta archive needs are addressed in the area of general PDS and PSA software development Support the correct implementation of user requirements Aid in the validation of PSA software specific to the Rosetta mission, including DVAL, PRVV APC, Archive interface Interact with the PDS for issues specific to the Rosetta mission archive Interact with and provide support to the PI teams in the area of archive product generation, delivery validation Support the archive product validation process including reviews Support the execution tracking of the master science plan versus the actual archived process Support to the Rosetta project scientist in his role in ensuring the legacy of the mission through the provision of a populated archive for Rosetta is achieved Provide support to the Observation Quick Look process in the area of tracking successfailure of observations with the delivery of the data for the archive. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience PhD in astronomy, astrophysics or equivalent Good knowledge of astronomical instrumentation, acquired through astronomical instrument hardware development andor intensive astronomical data reduction exercise Several years experience with science archives Experience in interacting with the scientific community Interest in performing science research with the mission data would be an asset Knowledge of Rosetta and its operations would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
