New York Times: An enormous Shell Oil offshore rig that had broken free and gone adrift in stormy seas in the Gulf of Alaska for the better part of three days was brought under control on Monday, the company said. The situation is stabilizing, Curtis Smith, a spokesman for Shell in Anchorage, said in a telephone interview.
