As announced by SME, Oakland Schools Technical Campus Northeast in Pontiac, MI received Afinia H800 3D printer for participating in SME manufacturing and career awareness activities including Manufacturing Day. SME chief executive officer Jeff Krause said that this 3D printer provides "hands-on way to explore and learn about advanced manufacturing." Oakland Schools' Career Focused Education team already has plans to integrate this new technology into manufacturing-related curricula.
