SMIC, ASML ink volume purchase deal

Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp., which claims to be the largest and most advanced pure-play foundry provider in China, and with lithography systems from ASML. The deal is part of a strategic partnership between the companies that will help ease the expansion of SMIC's advanced technology capacities.
