As a dynamic and growing company, RHEA has launched the RHEA Technology Centre of Excellence RTCE in Brussels, Belgium. The RTCE serves as a research and technology hub for security and crisis management, concurrent design engineering, systems of systems design and advance processing of large data sets. As part of the RTCE launch, RHEA is expanding its System Engineering, Security and Solutions SESS Directorate to better serve its company base of agency level organizations in the space and security sectors. Over the past 20 years RHEA has supported over 40 space missions including comet chasers, planetary and Moon missions and deep space astronomy experiments. The RHEA SESS Directorate is an essential part of this complete solutions delivery capability. Description As a Service Oriented Architecture SOA Solution Architect, you will join a team of software developers in support of RHEA clients by providing software solutions and systems in advanced technology fields such as space, defense, critical infrastructure, finance or government. With a primary focus on system solution architecture, duties may also include research, design, development, test and implementation of software solutions and systems from advanced prototypes to final product release. Matching your experience, expertise and aptitude, you may work in any of the following roles Senior Qualification Profile Candidates applying at the level of Senior SOA Solution Architect should meet the following qualifications A post secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant field obtained from a university located in a country having signed and entered into force The Lisbon Convention. Countries having signed and entered into force The Lisbon Convention can be found at httpwww.studyineurope.euthelisbonconvention. Example relevant fields include mathematics, computer science or engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, information technology, information management or similar. Minimum eight years working experience in software research and development Minimum three years as a software development team lead for delivery of SOAbased solutions or services involving requirements analysis, architecture specification, design, development, test or implementation Experience in software development that should include the following Software requirements analysis translating functional requirements into technical specifications Software modeling techniques and tools with an objectoriented design software development methodology e.g., UML 2.x Data modeling techniques and associated advanced toolsets such as Eclipse, EMF and associated plugins. Programming languages and methods e.g., Java, CC, PHP, Python, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, XML Clientserver and application server system development Web services standards SOA based integration of applications with relational databases SOA based integration of applications with legacy systems Client and Serverside web service design, development and integration involving SOAP, REST or JSONRPC Servertoserver web services design, development and integration involving SOAP or RPC Application programming interface API design, specification and use Relational database modeling, design and implementation including data modeling techniques, schema development, metadata exploitation, and data access considerations e.g., user application interface considerations, API use and stored procedure development User interface design and development including web layout and design HTTP, JavaScript, CSS and database driven ModelViewController MVC design patterns for Web Applications. SOA security and authentication solutions including JAAS, Shiro, LDAP, Cryptography extensions. In addition to the above, the following qualifications or experience would be considered an asset and may lead to preferential candidate selection Experience with specific integration environments such as OSGi, Service Mix, WS02, Java EE, .NET Big data processing and analytics using techniques and tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, HDFS, HBASE, Hive Software security engineering, software assurance and secure software design concepts and techniques Application development for cloud computing environments Symantic web technologies and solutions Cyber Defense or Continuous Monitoring Solutions Space ground data systems Earth observation processing systems. A professional qualification or certification in a relevant field. Example qualifications include holding a national professional engineering qualification e.g., Chartered Engineer in the UK or holding the European wide qualification of European Engineer EUR ING Qualification for a NATO Security Clearance Experience in cyber security for space, defense, critical infrastructure, finance or government systems. Intermediate Qualification Profile Candidates applying at the level of Intermediate SOA Solution Architect should meet the following qualifications A post secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant field obtained from a university located in a country having signed and entered into force The Lisbon Convention.
