SPIL rejects ASE takeover bid, announces deal with Hon Hai

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. and Siliconware Precision Industries Co. yesterday announced a strategic alliance via share swap in a bid to reject Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc.'s hostile takeover of SPIL.
