Salt Lake City scrap yard fined over motor oil leaks

The Salt Lake Tribune) The Utah Department of Environmental Quality cited Western Metals Recycling at 4221 W. 700 S. in Salt Lake City for allowing motor oil to drip out of scrap vehicles onto the ground and other violations. Utah environmental regulators first started documenting an oil slick seeping from old cars at a large Salt Lake City scrap yard three years ago.
