Samsung nearly doubles Q2 operating profit

(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics reported another strong improvement in results for the second quarter. Its preliminary report shows operating profit more than doubled year-on-year, to KRW 14.0 trillion from KRW 8.1 trillion. Revenues rose 17.8 percent to KRW 60 trillion.
