(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics said it expects to report second-quarter revenues down 8.4 percent from a year earlier to KRW 48 trillion, while operating profit will fall 4 percent to KRW 6.9 trillion. Its final quarterly results will be reported later this month. The lower results are thought to be the result of weaker smartphone sales, with the recent launch of the flagship Galaxy S6 by Samsung unable to return the company to growth. This should be offset somewhat by stronger results at the company's semiconductor activities.
