RHEA is currently recruiting a Satellite Simulator Software Engineer to work on the development, test and validation of operational MCS and simulators at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The successful candidate will be responsible for the definition, implementation, acceptance and maintenance of operational simulator and Mission Control Systems. The scope of work will include Specification of systems software requirements in collaboration with the operational users Definition of internal and external interfaces in agreement with the relevant parties Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support the mission operations staff as required in the various operational phases, including system validation tests, simulation campaign and software support coordination during critical operational phases such as launches Coordination with other internal or external units, e.g. with the Unit supplying mission data systems infrastructure and the Unit supplying the ICT systems and services Participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Knowledge of operational simulators and mission control systems, including mission planning, automation, operational database, archiving, data distribution, etc. Experience with ESOC software engineering methodology and standards, as well as ESOC software development environments and systems, including DOORS Strong knowledge of C, C, Java, UML, XML, and SQL Familiarity with relevant operating systems including LINUX.
