We are currently looking for a Satellite System Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Satellite System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Support the introduction of Galileo early services e.g. OS, CS, SAR and PRS and the preparation of the Galileo exploitation phase Galileo service verification and feedback to system level design and definition including the update of the corresponding documentation Responsible for service performance tests within verification campaigns, definition of test cases including test procedures and passfail criteria, execution of tests and analysis of results and provision of test reports Satellite navigation data processing to derive service performance relevant parameters and drivers Application of engineering models and tools in support of the system verification and validation. Definition and implementation of software Support to EndtoEnd system functional interface integration, testing and verification activities with focus on the Galileo ground segment but also between Space to Ground in cooperation with system operations Review of the system and segment data packages and provision of review comments and reports as well presentation of results in front of the customer. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Several years of professional experience in GNSS satellite system and segment engineering design, architecture definition and system verification and testing Theoretical and practical knowledge of the satellitebased Navigation Systems GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS Understanding of data dissemination flow and navigation message generation and processing as well as GNSS end user constraints and GNSS applications, error models and data processing Experience in GNSS receiver operation and in system simulation Experience in satellite navigation data evaluation, process definition and implementation, statistics determination, report generation Understanding of satellite orbital mechanics, orbit propagation and determination Fluency in English is mandatory.
