Start date and duration Position starting as soon as feasible on a one year contract. Client and Location For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Satellite Test Engineer for their location in Bremen, Germany. With 1200 employees on multiple locations in Germany and 2500 worldwide, this organization is one of the top players in the European space industry. The organization specializes in Systems Engineering and offers hightech solutions for space. The company is currently working on some of Europes major satellite and spacecraft development and manufacturing programs and is looking for support within the AIT Department. As a Satellite Engineer, you will be working as part of the AIT team and you will be responsible for the assembly, integration and testing of satellite equipment on system or subsystem level. Tasks and Responsibilities Conduct Tests at unit, subsystem and satellite level Type of test Electrical interface unit tests, functional tests, subsystem test and system test Subsystems On Board Computer, Attitude and Orbit Control System, Propulsion, Payload, Thermal Control System, Power, Security System and TTR. Your level of responsibility depends on your capabilities. Test Operator or Test Conductor Constant monitoring of the satellite health Writing and maintaining test procedures and hardware work instructions Scripting and maintaining test sequences Preparation of test reports with evaluation of test data Preparation and participation to test reviews TRR, PTR, TRB. Either internal or external with presence of the customer Finding, analyzing and solving the nonconformance of the Satellite in close collaboration with subsystems responsible Preparation of test setups Satellite connections NonFlight EGSE connections, SAAPs connections Reporting to your AIT Electrical Lead in a team generally composed by 3 to 10 members Participation to Environmental test campaigns in Europe Participation to Launch campaign mainly in French Guyana Role may require extended hours, weekend work shift schedule, which varies depending on site operational needs, flexibility required Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment. Experience and Education Completed professional education in Aerospace engineering, Electrical engineering, Space Technology, Information Technology or comparable qualification Substantiated knowledge in one or more of the following areas on board computer, attitude and orbit control system, propulsion, payload, thermal control system, power, security system, and TTR. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience Testing at unit, subsystem or satellite level Use of EGSE and use of electrical measurement tools Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Laboratory voltage sources etc Experience in TclTk or Python is a plus Experience with CCS system e.g. CCS5, OCOE, etc is a plus Welldeveloped communication skills, used to work in a team Ability to read, understand and apply technical manuals, data reports, mechanical schematics, electrical schematics and design specifications Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote Sense of responsibility and an effective way of working Comfortable to work under time constraint High degree of flexibility Fluent in written and spoken English.
