Roadie Inc., an Atlanta startup with backing from Google Inc. Chairman Eric Schmidt's venture capital firm, today debuts a smart-phone app linking people who want packages shipped with people willing to drive them. Like car-sharing service Uber Technologies, its drivers - or "Roadies" - are expected to be regular citizens who just happen to be driving across town or across the country, not necessarily professional drivers.
