Addressing risk to USA's national security strategy outlined in Defense Secretary Hagel's July 10 letter to Senate Armed Services Committee, AIA President and CEO Marion C. Blakey said AIA is "gravely concerned by the second wave of sequestration impacts." Blakey continued, expressing AIA's advocacy for President Obama's annual proposed budgets for fiscal years 2013 and 2014, but also noted unseen effects of cuts including loss of critical skills and experience represented by workforce.
