The Democratic chairwoman of a U.S. Senate subcommittee is asking Energy Secretary Steven Chu to explain what steps he is taking to recover potential overpayments to a Michigan-based battery company that received a $150-million federal grant in four years ago and was the focus of a scathing review by federal inspectors.
