Senators Urge Support for Biodiesel

A groups of Senators are calling on Congress and the Administration to support policies (tax credit and Renewable Fuels Standard)) for the biodiesel industry. The Senators cited a study by the National Biodiesel Board that showed that the lack of certainty of federal policies is hurting the biodiesel industry. Almost 80 percent of U.S. biodiesel producers have scaled back production this year and nearly 60 percent have idled production. read more
