O3b mPOWER is SESs nextgeneration Medium Earth Orbit MEO satellitebased communication system offering highbandwidth, lowlatency data connectivity services to underserved and mobility markets. Launching in 2021, the system will begin its service life in 2022. Building on the capabilities of our current O3b MEO system, O3b mPOWER expands exponentially to deliver thousands of dedicated services up to multiple gigabits per second. It provides more flexibility than any satellitebased system available today or planned for the foreseeable future. The Senior Engineer, Gateway Architecture will design and implement the ground systems for SES GEOMEO satellites and act as product manager software architect leading team of software developers for the development of operational software components and solutions for the automated remote control of the SES Ground Gateway systems. Strong Technical understanding of ground gateway systems for e.g., Antenna and RF and IF subsystems, ModemsPlatforms Technical understanding of ground gateway software systems Monitoring Control systems Pragmatic system engineer in the Radio Frequency Satellite Communication domain as well as effective and handson project implementer Curious and up to date with latest technologies and forward thinking. Who We Are Looking For More About You In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will have the following SkillsCompetencies Talented in communication Strong experience in fix and mobile earth station and teleportgateway solutions for videodata transmissions includes antenna, HPA, waveguide, switch matrix, converters, modulators, electrical optical interfacility links as well as DVB or VSAT broadband or broadcast platforms, contentdataIFRF spectrum measurement Experienced in various ground monitoring control and any other kind of monitoring systems for e.g., Network Management Systems, Element Management Systems or Operational Support Systems Understanding of GEO, MEO and LEO telecommunications satellite technologies Relevant experience as technical project manager team lead for ground gateway systems Preferred Education Experience a combination of education and experience will be considered Minimum of 5 years relevant handson engineering experience and worked successfully as GWRF Systems Engineer As Project Manager Team lead 2 years of relevant work experience Analysis, design, specification, Implementation, and test of Kaband gateways Fluency in English Preferred Qualifications ElectricalTelecommunications Engineering degree BSMS or similar with a deep knowledge of RF and telecom theory Handson engineering experience on RF IF test equipment and RF measurement techniques, test and verification of ground stations and auxiliary systems Proven experience in tools like Word, Excel, Excel VBA, PowerPoints, MS Project, Visio, AutoCAD Understanding of Virtualization platforms including VMware, Cloud Computing, Software Build System, Working knowledge of LinuxUnix operating systems Willingness to travel domestically and internationally Whats in it for you Flexible working policy Bonus and equity plans Comprehensive and competitive benefits plans A range of wellness activities and employee assistance programmes varies by location An employer that values all aspects of Diversity and respects every individuals story SES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
