Job Title Senior FPGA Design Engineer Job Reference Number FE002 Role reports to the Head of Systems Job Description Primary Purpose To work as a senior member of a team developing aerospace communications systems. The role entails taking the lead role in developing a high reliability FPGA design covering Leading the FPGA development team Play a key handon role in developing key blocks in VHDL, testbench code, application code including control logicstate machines, test functions and DSP functions Documenting the design to a high standard for internal and customer review Supporting the product development through preliminary design, design proving, qualification and functional verification Supporting the project team in addressing technical issues related to the FPGA. Essential Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years ASIC or FPGA, VHDL languagebased design experience High standard in written English and report writing Qualified to degree level or higher in Electronics, Mathematics, Physics or other mathematicsrelated discipline. Desirable Skills and Experience Actel FPGA tool flow ASIC design flow Modelsim behavioural and gatelevel simulation including code coverage analysis System on Chip experience Direct handcoded implementation of Digital Signal Processing functions in FPGA or ASIC i.e. not just integration of DSP IP cores Digital Signal Processing theory Verilog experience MATLAB experience TCL scripting HighReliability, Medical, Military or Space engineering background Design management using SubVersion version control tools PersonalityMotivation Able to work under pressure Selfmotivated Team player Approachable Business Group COM DEV Europe Country Great Britain Location Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire For additional information about this job, contact recruitmentcomdev.co.uk
