An experienced GNSS systems engineer is being recruited by the Earth Observation, Navigation and Science directorate of Astrium. The role is based in Portsmouth but regular business travel is required. The role involves working across multiple projects on the architecture and the design of GNSS localization navigation systems. A good understanding of complex systems is essential. The successful applicant will have experience of the following fields Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS ground systems and products GNSS space environment modeling Knowledge of DGPS and EGNOS Navigation flight dynamics Software development, possibly navigationrelated A research background e.g. PhD in the domain of GNSS would be advantageous. The person for this role needs to be flexible and able to work on a number of tasks across a project and to work on multiple projects at the same time.
