We are looking to further enhance our team by adding a Senior Learning and Learning Technologies Consultant You will be based initially for 2 years at our clients headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. Extension of a further 2 years may be possible. In this large European Agency you will find an excellent and modern working environment with challenging tasks and responsibilities. Your Tasks Include The support service will focus on the following activities Instructional design consultancy Provide advice to Client on matters of instructional design and how our training can be more efficient and effective as a part of professional development and fitting to existing competency frameworks. Support the design and redesign of courses and training interventions, coaching Trainers and Subject Matter Experts in learningoutcomes oriented design. Review the current key online and classroom training courses to propose and support improvements. In collaboration with SMEs, design training resources, such as case studies, online lessons, interactive exercises and video tutorials, and learning experiences. Assure the products are oriented towards highquality learning outcomes by using instructional systems design principles. Support the enhancement of our approach to evaluation and learning analytics for our training interventions and recommend improvements based on evaluation data. Contribute as facilitator in the Clients train the trainer online and classroom activities. Coordinate and facilitate translation of the resources when required. Learning technologies Support Provide technical support and learning infrastructure development advice, including assessment of new technologies, for Clients training activities. Manage the evolution of our Moodle platform, providing second line support when needed. Provide advice and second line support for the online meetings and teleconferences platform. Support the Client Training administrators, developing first line support and day to day administration capabilities for their online training work. In collaboration with SMEs develop and support the development of training resources, in terms of case studies, online lessons, interactive exercises and video tutorials, and courses, applying sustainable and sound technological solutions. Play a role in the wider meteorological learning technologist network Participate in the Technical Support Officer community of practice providing resilience and coverage across partner organizations, and sharing knowledge and best practices. Support CALMet Commons community of practice blog calmet.org and the CALMET Online workshop. Coordinate publication of The Training Bulletin 3 times per year. Your Profile The consultant requires significant skill and proven experience in Instructional design in general within a professional development and adult learning context in particular, with a strong understanding of the application of learning theories. Implementing and evolving online and distance learning Handson knowledge of standard learning technologies and tools such as Moodle, Saba Centra.... Advising on evolution of learning technologies in vocational training Providing consultancy to trainers and SMEs It is most likely this will be underpinned by a level of post graduate qualification, andor professional certification such as CMALT or similar. The consultant shall have excellent communication, planning, implementation and cross cultural team working skills. An understanding of our Client, and training in the meteorological or scientific context is an advantage but not essential. The provider shall be able to work fluently in English. A working knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
