This is an opportunity for an experienced SW Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in developing SMP2 models in C. You are a fan of both computer science and spacecraft missions? You would like to develop software using modern techniques and at the same time play a role in the coming satellite missions? You would like to work in an international and informal environment? In this position, you will play a key role in one of the simulator development teams. This position is based in our Headquarter in Europahaus in Darmstadt, Germany. ResponsibilitiesDuties The senior software engineer will participate in all aspects of the software life cycle from design through development, support and reengineering, validation and maintenance, with a focus on delivering high quality reliable software to satisfy our demanding customers. The systems are Linux based and are developed in C using the SMP2 standard and the ESAESOC SIMSATSIMULUS suite. English documentation and effective support to customer onsite is also required. QualificationsExperience University degree in a technical domain e.g. informatics, engineering, computer science, math. Strong model development experience in C using the SMP2 standard and the ESAESOC SIMSATSIMULUS suite. Essential Skills C programming language SMP2 standard Modeling with UML SIMSATSIMULUS suite Automatic testing using CppUnit Java Script programming language Source Code Control System Git ECSS standards for space software development and management Fluency in spoken and written English Desirable Skills Java programming language Eclipse frameworks RCP Linux command line Maven, Jenkins, Nexus Further Requirements Due to the nature of project only citizens of EU members states are eligible.
