Job Description We are expanding our team and are seeking a Senior Network Engineer Air Traffic Management based in Maastricht, The Netherlands. You will be assigned to work at our clients site in Maastricht working in a multinational environment within the air traffic management domain. You will report to the onsite team leader and will be responsible for providing support for the systems in the teams portfolio. Key Responsibilities Identify malfunctioning hardware andor software for the purpose of implementing necessary corrective actions, resolving technical problems and provide ongoing support to the endusers of the operational MADAP networks and nonoperational OFFICE network. Perform primary network system administration on network and IT Network Security equipment Assist in the design, development, configuration, installation, and maintenance of network systems. Conduct analyses and testing of network systems for the purpose of documenting findings and ensuring efficiency. Create utilities for the purpose of automating repetitive and daily routines. Implement new network operating systems and application software for the purpose of ensuring compliance with licensing, patches, and updates according to vendor andor IT security guidelines. Monitor LANWAN Infrastructure for the purpose of measuring performance andor ensuring the secure and reliable operation of all MADAP networks and its Network Security Infrastructure. Drafting of TE2 documentation, e.g., Build state documents, Test documentation, Version documentation, Baseline Documentation in accordance with the Maastricht Management System Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the NET Team Skills, Character and Experience Skills, Character and Experience Able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for software and computer systems, and what these can do for others Have an interest in improving the system development lifecycle and efficiency of the Ability take responsibility for delivering personally and on behalf of others able to function and communicate effectively within a team and with other personnel Excellent communication skills with ability to produce and present clear, concise, and unambiguous presentations and documents. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in networking and IT security technology practical experience in network troubleshooting is essential on network equipment together with experience in the field of hardware installation, system integration, testing and servicing activities. Practical Experience with following brands CISCO, CHECKPOINT, FORTINET, optionally GIGAMON. Practical Experience in migrating between different firewall vendor platforms Checkpoint, Fortinet and Cisco ASA, and experience in upgrading and converting different firewall platform from Checkpoint and Fortinet. Checkpoint and Fortinet certificates accredited. Detailed knowledge of data communication protocols TCPIP, DNS, HTTPS, FTP..., Routing, Switching proven with min 2 practical cases as an example. Knowledge of Quality of Service and experience designingimplementing QoS in an enterprise environment proven with minimum 1 practical case as an example. Familiar with network management tools and SIEM. e.g. Zenoss, CA Spectrum Splunk . Familiar with design concepts in LANWAN design. At least 1 year of experience in a project environment, qualitysecurity standards, configuration management tools. Good knowledge of MS Office tools Word, Excel, Visio. Ability to draft clear and concise technical papers in English Good interpersonal and teamworking skills, and able to work within in a multicultural team environment. Able to work independently and deliver quality output with minimum guidance. Motivation and commitment to deliver under tight time constraints. Ability to communicate technical details clearly and succinctly to peers and to management. Resultdriven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity, and team player approach. Able to multitask and apply excellent analytical Skills. Essential Bachelors degree in engineering Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent. Cisco CCNP accredited. Desirable Practical experience in automation in particular scripting e.g. Python Wellfamiliarized with wireless products Practical experience with Network management systems Salary Competitive salary per annum dependent on skillsexperience plus a growing list of Company Benefits.
