Employing QTC™ (Quantum Tunnelling Composite) technology, QTC Ultra Sensor™ can be mounted behind 0.1 mm stainless steel or 0.5 mm glass sheet and still detect pressure of one finger on top of sheet. It only takes deflection of ~1 micron to sense touch through sheet, and sensor can be fitted as small piece of QTC sheeting or screen printed on back of steel plate as required by product designer. Product has no air gap or moving parts and works equally well with plastics or wood.
