The company is active in geospatial multisource applications development for planning and management of environmental risks infrastructures and realtime handling of large data streams. Our German subsidiary ACSD provides consultancy service at EUMETSAT Darmstadt. Selected candidate will sign permanent full time contract and work at EUM premises. For our activities in Germany, we are looking for a person to provide Services Upgrade Engineering CS for Long Term Archive and Users Services support. TASKS Requirements analysis of programme requirements not related to the Ground Segments ITT requirements against the MMEs Generation of services definitions, compliance matrices, design justification, verification planstest cases and procedures and verification control documents Support to Analysis and evolution of current System Design to enhance the Data Access Services so as to meet programmes requirements Definition and maintenance of MME Data Access Services related Interface Control Documents ICDs Preparation of test specifications for Verifying MME Data Access services Support to Ground Segment reviews excluding access to financial data and schedule margins Support to Ground Segment Integration, Verification and Validation IVV tests for the MME Data Access services. Mandatory University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Able to work effectively in English a minimum of 5 years working experience in the analysis of user requirements, software requirements, scalable software architectures, software development, testing, operations and maintenance of Data Access systems Engineering lifecycle aspect e.g. requirements definition, design, development, integration, verification and validation Service based approach for defining system specifications Tool based requirements management e.g. IBM DOORs Definition and formalization of interfaces between complex systems Portal technologies, web application server and web security concepts Hierarchical Storage Management Systems and Architectures i.e. SAMFSQFS Storage Concepts and Archiving Technologies NAS, SAN, Robotic Tape Libraries Formalised Software Testing Configuration Control Database Experience Schema design EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass format Practical knowledge of as many as possible of the following will be an advantage OGC Interoperability Standards such as CSW, WMS, WCS, WFS XML, XML Schema and XSLT technologies Distributed applications, TCPIP and Web services CCSDS standards for data format representation Tool based Software Architecture and Design e.g. Enterprise Architect, UML 2.0 SysML Testing frameworks e.g. JUnit, JMeter.
