Three auto dealerships, including one in White Plains, reached a multi-million dollar settlement for for alleged unlawful sale of credit repair and identity theft prevention services that added thousands to the cost of some vehicles on Wednesday, according to New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. The Paragon dealership family, which includes White Plains Honda, will have to pay $6 million in restitution and provide $500 to approximately 15,000 customers for engaging in deceptive sales tactics, including charging consumers for credit repair services and other "after sale" items without the customer's knowledge, the attorney general said.
