Siemens Energy cutting 200+ jobs in Knox County

A Siemens Energy Inc. plant in Mount Vernon is cutting up to 240 jobs as turbulent prices in the oil and gas industry claim another Central Ohio business. The plant, which Siemens AG acquired from Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc last year as part of a larger $1.32 billion deal , makes lightweight natural gas turbines and compressor equipment used by power generators and oil and gas companies.
