Sine wave filters eliminate premature motor damage caused by high dv/dt, overvoltages, cable ringing, motor overheating, and eddy current losses caused by VFDs. Suitable for up to 200–800 hp motors (60–600 Hz), products convert rectangular PWM output voltage into smooth sine wave with low residual ripple. Effects include elongating high-speed motor service life and improving bearing life by eliminating circulating bearing currents. Models FN5020 and FN5040 are offered as open and enclosed.
