(Telecompaper) Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has received two final offers for Optus Satellite, its Australian satellite business. Intelsat is one of the bidders and the other offer was lodged by a consortium that includes Blackstone Group, TPG Capital, and Measat Global, Reuters reports citing sources close to the matter. Both offers were below AUD 2 billion, the reserve price, and the SingTel board will shortly decide whether to ask bidders to improve their bids or whether to divest the division through an IPO.
