SnapDeal buys recommendations platform Wishpicker

(Telecompaper) Indian e-commerce site SnapDeal has acquired Wishpicker, a tech platform that uses machine learning to deliver recommendations for gift purchases, TechCrunch reported. No financial terms were disclosed. SnapDeal said this is its fifth acquisition so far. Snapdeal co-founder Rohit Bansal said the company will be able to strengthen its technology platform with the acquisition.
