Job description The tasks to be performed by the consultant will include Maintenance and development of the asbuilt software build environments Building, packaging and distribution of software and data releases and patches Support to developers with respect to build and versioning strategies Support the delivery of software externally developed its installation, configuration and testing Investigation into anomalies, their documentation and classification Follow up of the delivery of SW corrections Participation in technical meetings and formal reviews Analysis of the maintenance requirements and identification, procurement or implementation of the tools to fulfil them writing of maintenance procedures Technical interfacing with external contractors who are providing maintenance services for ground segment facilities. Requirements The consultant shall have the following experienceskills A University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Essential knowledge and experience in using UnixLinux command line tools Software build environments and tools like autoconfautomake, make, ANT, Maven Version control systems like CVS, Subversion, ClearCase, git Experience with various software packaging formats like RPM, PKG, LPP, tgz Scripting languages e.g. Shell, Perl, TclTk, Python Networking, distributed applications, and TCPIP services Basic UNIX System Administration CC programming languages Java programming language Change Management Fluency in English.
