Specific Tasks Design, develop, deploy, operate and maintain all ESDC Science Archives and Virtual Observatory VO subsystems, i.e. o Archive Data products repositories o Archive Databases including DB administrative tasks o Archive Data ingestion and metadata extraction systems o Archive application servers and middle tier services o Archive Graphical user interfaces and web pages o Archive Data distribution systems o Archive interoperability systems, supported by VO standards o Archive administration services monitoring, statistics, user management, o Archive data products online visualization and analysis services o VO tools and services Software configuration control activities associated with archive development Unit and system tests associated with archive development Participation to working groups, workshops, conferences and meetings where science archives and virtual observatory standards and practices are discussed. Provide technical support to archives and VO services usage Cloudbased processing systems attached to the archives. Mobile devices and apps for Android and iOS. Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality data analysis applications. Archiving of HRE SciSpace datasets Requirements PhD or MSc Engineering from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent Substantial experience in Java programming language Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript or other frontend languages like AngularJS Unit testing JUnit and UI testing selenium Experience with SVN, git repositories and project management software JIRA and Confluence Advanced knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL Databases Experience with Google Web Toolkit andor Vaadin are assets Experience in Geographical Information Systems GIS is an asset Experience in OAIS standard is an asset Experience in Google Web Toolkit, Vaadin Experience in web technologies http, JSP, JavaScript, apache, tomcat, web services, Experience in relational databases principally PostgreSQL Experience in SQL and XML Experience in GIS technology Experience in Virtual Observatory standards and protocols, working groups, working processes and environment would be an asset
