Responsibilities Duties Tasks Our subsidiary CS GmbH, located in Darmstadt, is actively looking for a Software Engineer. The key person will be assigned primarily assigned to the maintenance of several space systems under ITIL methodology. The key person will integrate a team of software engineers under the direction of the project manager in CS GmbH. Depending on relevant experience, the selected candidate may be also involved in development or study activities under our ongoing Frame Contractor either at ESOC or EUMETSAT. Requirements Any knowledge and experience in software development or maintenance in the space environment is a major asset. Academic background The Key person shall have M.Sc. in Computer Science Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer or equivalent. Technical skills At least 3 year experience in Eclipse RCP application development Good level in Java programing Good level Eclipse RCP, SWT. Good background in UnixLinuxwindows environments Good knowledge in configuration management such as SVN GIT. Knowledge in Spring, EMF, GEF, GMF Knowledge in communication protocols TCPIP, CORBA, RMI would be an advantage. Knowledge in scripting language, shell, Perl Knowledge in test management such as Mercury quality Centre Knowledge in management of requirements e.g. DOORS Some knowledge of CCSDS standard would be valuable. Others skills Proficiency in English language High level of flexibility Good organisation skills, good communication skills Ability to work autonomously in a challenging environment.
