Position Reference 104 RHEA Group is currently recruiting a Software QA Engineer to support the cybersecurity team. You will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment with stateoftheart technologies within the cybersecurity and Infrastructure as a Service domains. At RHEA Group will have the opportunity to work and learn in an exciting environment and participate in unique cybersecurity projects for the European Space Agency, NATO and the European Commission. As a software tester, you will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment of our cybersecurity solutions. You will conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. This position will be based at the European space Security and Education Centre ESEC near Redu, Belgium, or at Frascati, Italy. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Contribute to the research and development of a new set of cybersecurity related products, leveraging cyberrisk assessment and cybersecurity simulation and testing over complex systems within the Space ground, space and data segments and critical infrastructure protection domains. Collaborate in the review, analysis and production of system specifications Collaborate with other SW and QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans Design and execute test cases manual or automated, analyze and document results Evaluate product code according to specifications Create logs to document testing phases and defects Report bugs and errors to development teams Help troubleshoot issues to support root cause analysis Conduct postrelease postimplementation testing Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle Perform bugfixing activities on the source code Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Bachelors or masters in computer science, engineering, or a related field Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role minimum 2 years Experience in requirements engineering and QA methodology Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing Ability to document and troubleshoot errors A good understanding of the software development process Working knowledge of test management software Experience in Java 78 or C, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems Strong interpersonal skills, team working, good analytic and problem solving capabilities Strong communication and documentation abilities Attention to detail Analytical mind and problemsolving aptitude Effective time management and organizational skills Some of the following skills would be highly desirable, in order of priority Experience with IBM Rational DOORS or similar tool for requirements management Knowledge of SysMLUML Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering processes and methodologies How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
