Software Validation Engineer 2111009 Solenix is specialized in the provision of highquality software engineering, technical consulting and operations services in the aerospace domain. This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Job Description We are looking for a Software Validation Engineer to support our client ESTEC in the Flight Software Systems Section of the Software Systems Division, in the function of onboard software system engineer. Your tasks will include but not be limited to Supporting a variety of ESA space missions in the field of realtime embedded software and systems Participating in the full development lifecycle of the mission and onboard software Identifying technical risks and critical areas in the development process while assisting in their resolution Applying the principles of mission safety critical software development across multiple disciplines Providing expert technical support and consultancy to general studies in the field of realtime embedded software systems, flight software systems development and software validation facilities focused on both simulated environments and hardware in the loop. Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 3 years relevant experience Master degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline In particular, experience with Modern software engineering methods and tools Realtime embedded software and Real Time Kernels Software development projects and knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle Programming languages C, Ada, C andor others Microprocessors such as SPARC LEON, ARM, multicores etc Communication protocols Mil1553, SpaceWire, CAN Software Engineering Standards such as the ECSSEST40C Be able to function as part of a team Because of the operational nature of the support, a proactive and flexible attitude is required Desirable Skills and Experience Knowledge of spacecraft systems would be an advantage Work Location Noordwijk, The Netherlands Dates Application Deadline 12 April 2021 Start of Work 01 May 2021 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page How to Apply on the Solenix website under Career.
