Representing 28 Colorado schools, 97 teams comprised of students designed, built, and raced their solar- and lithium ion-powered vehicles for competitions hosted by U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Trophies were awarded for fastest Li-ion and solar powered model cars as well as lithium-ion and solar design technology, craftsmanship and innovation.
